Annie Kubler biography

Annie Kubler is an illustrator and art director in children’s publishing. She studied at the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg and specialised in children’s illustration.

In 1985 she joined Child’s Play International. Child’s Play has described her as its art director, alongside illustrating books for the list.

Kubler is known for illustrating board books based on nursery rhymes and action songs for very young readers. Her titles include If You’re Happy and You Know It (2001), Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes… (2002) and Pat-a-Cake! (2005), published by Child’s Play.

Her work also appears in Child’s Play’s British Sign Language board book ranges. Five Enormous Dinosaurs: BSL (ISBN 9781835322215), illustrated by Annie Kubler and Sarah Dellow, is listed with a publication date of 15 February 2026.
