Amy Bond is an Irish children’s author and librarian. She studied English Literature and later completed a Master’s in Library and Information Science. Bond works in a corporate library and writes fiction in her spare time.
Her debut children’s novel, Morgana Mage in the Robotic Age, was a finalist in the Times/Chicken House Children’s Fiction Competition and was published in 2021. The story follows a young witch who explores both the magical and technological worlds, drawing on themes of curiosity and personal growth.
Bond balances her writing with her library career, setting aside time outside working hours to develop her fiction. Morgana Mage in the Robotic Age marked her first published novel and brought her recognition as a new voice in Irish children’s literature.
