Amie Kaufman is an Australian author known for her work in the young adult science fiction and fantasy genres. She co-authored the Starbound trilogy with Meagan Spooner, which includes the titles These Broken Stars (2013), This Shattered World (2014), and Their Fractured Light (2015). The series received critical acclaim and was noted for its engaging storytelling and character development.

Kaufman also collaborated with Jay Kristoff on the Illuminae Files series. The first book, Illuminae, was published in 2015 and was followed by Gemina (2016) and Obsidio (2018).
