Traci N. Todd is an American children’s writer and book editor. She writes illustrated non-fiction, including picture book biographies.
Her picture book biography Nina: A Story of Nina Simone, illustrated by Christian Robinson, was published by G.P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers in 2021. In 2022, the book received a Coretta Scott King Book Award Illustrator Honor, awarded to Robinson.
Todd wrote Holding Her Own: The Exceptional Life of Jackie Ormes, illustrated by Shannon Wright and published by Orchard Books (Scholastic). In 2024, the book was named a Robert F. Sibert Informational Book Honor title, and it also received a Coretta Scott King Book Award Illustrator Honor (awarded to Wright).
