Toon Tellegen is a Dutch author and poet known for his contributions to children’s literature. He began his writing career in the 1980s and has published numerous books for young readers, as well as poetry for both children and adults. Tellegen’s stories often feature animals and explore themes of friendship, imagination, and philosophical questions.
His works have been published by various publishers, including Querido. Tellegen’s writing is recognised for its distinctive style and thoughtful approach to storytelling. He has received several literary awards in the Netherlands for his contributions to literature.
One of his notable publications is The Squirrel’s Birthday and Other Parties, which was published in English by Boxer Books in 2007.
