Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Tom Tinn-Disbury is a UK children’s author and illustrator represented by the Bell Lomax Moreton agency.
He studied animation at university. After working in film and broadcast television, he shifted his focus to making picture books.
Tom uses a combination of pens, pencils, paint and digital tools (Photoshop) in his artwork.
His books as both author and illustrator include The Caveman Next Door (2019), which was runner-up in the Cambridge “Read It Again” Awards, My Summer with Grandad (2021), Lost in the Clouds and Brian the Dancing Lion.
He is also illustrator of books by other authors, among them Monster Max and the Bobble Hat of Forgetting by Robin Bennett.
A forthcoming work is Duck Delivers, due for release on 17 February 2026.
