Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Susie Hodge is a British author and artist who writes for children and adults. She has written more than 100 books, as well as articles and web resources, across art history, practical art, history, design, science, religion and biography. She previously worked as a copywriter at Saatchi & Saatchi and JWT, and she has an MA in Art History from Birkbeck, University of London.
Her books for young readers include Vincent van Gogh, Henri Matisse and Leonardo da Vinci, illustrated by Teresa Bellón. Her other books include How Art Can Change Your Life, Why is Art Full of Naked People?, The Met 5000 Years of Awesome Objects, Artists and The Met Hokusai.
Hodge wrote Art Nouveau: 50 Works Of Art You Should Know, a 128-page art book in Prestel’s 50 You Should Know series, published by Prestel on 25 November 2015.
