Super Freak is the professional name of illustrator Dan Whitehouse. His illustration work is described as using cartoon characters, humour, a primary colour palette, Pop Art, Mid Century comics, graffiti-inspired compositions and bright colours. He illustrated Emma Young’s children’s science title What If… Pigs Could Fly?: And Other Amazing Animal Questions, a 72-page book for readers aged 7 to 9 in the What If? series, with a publication date of 30 June 2026. He also illustrated What If… Every Volcano Erupted at Once?, an Earth science title by Emma Young published by DK Children as an audiobook download on 4 November 2025.
