Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Simon Packham is a British author known for his work in children’s and young adult fiction. Before becoming a writer, he worked as an actor. Packham’s books often explore contemporary issues relevant to young people, including themes of friendship, identity, and the challenges of adolescence.
His debut novel, Trust Games, was published by Piccadilly Press in 2009. The story centres on a new pupil at a school for the performing arts and addresses issues of trust and fitting in. Packham has since written several other novels for young readers, including Firewallers (Piccadilly Press, 2013), which deals with the impact of social media and online safety, and Silenced (Piccadilly Press, 2015), which follows a teenager coping with selective mutism after a traumatic event.
Other titles by Packham include Attack of the Geek (Piccadilly Press, 2011), Only We Know (Piccadilly Press, 2014), and The Flatshare (Piccadilly Press, 2016). His books are published by Piccadilly Press, an imprint of Bonnier Books UK.
Simon Packham’s novel Silenced was published by Piccadilly Press in 2015.
