Scoular Anderson is a Scottish author and illustrator known for his work in children’s literature. He has written and illustrated numerous books, often combining humour and adventure in his stories. Anderson studied at the Glasgow School of Art before embarking on a career in illustration and writing.
His body of work includes both fiction and non-fiction titles, and he has contributed illustrations to books by other authors as well as his own. Among his notable series is the Pirate School series, which features the adventures of children at a school for pirates. Anderson has also written and illustrated books such as Space Pirates and My First Joke Book.
In addition to his books, Anderson has worked on educational materials and has visited schools to talk about his work and inspire young readers and writers. His illustrations are recognised for their lively and engaging style, appealing to a wide range of children.
One of his published works is Pirate School: Just a Bit of Wind, published by Orchard Books in 2002.
