Rutendo Dione biography
Rutendo Dione is a children’s author writing middle-grade adventure. In August 2024 she signed a three-book deal with Sweet Cherry Publishing for the Presto! series, which reimagines classic fairy tales in contemporary settings.
The first title, Presto! Magical Recovery Co., follows 11-year-old Amber, who discovers that fairy tales are real and that her uncle recovers missing people and stolen items from those stories. Their missions take them to the world of Evadne, where wolves, witches and other figures from traditional tales collide with coding, problem-solving and science themes suitable for classroom discussion.
The novel is aimed at readers aged 9–12 and is published by Sweet Cherry. Presto! Magical Recovery Co. was first published in October 2024, with the paperback released on 31 October 2024.
