Rod Clement biography

Rod Clement is an Australian author and illustrator known for his work in children’s literature. He has written and illustrated several picture books, often featuring animals and humour. Clement’s debut as both author and illustrator was with the book Counting on Frank, published in 1990 by HarperCollins. This title has been recognised for its distinctive illustrations and engaging approach to mathematics and problem-solving.

In addition to Counting on Frank, Clement has written and illustrated other books including Just Another Ordinary Day, Grandpa’s Teeth, Edwina the Emu, and Feathers for Phoebe. His illustrations are also featured in the book Edward the Emu, written by Sheena Knowles. Clement’s work is published by HarperCollins Australia.

Rod Clement’s book Counting on Frank was awarded the Children’s Book Council of Australia Honour Book for Picture Book of the Year in 1991.
