Rachel Morrisroe is a Welsh children’s author. Her books include picture books, young fiction and middle grade fiction.
Her debut picture book, How to Grow a Unicorn, illustrated by Steven Lenton, was published by Puffin on 24 June 2021. It introduced Mr Pottifer’s Parlour of Plants, a magical plant shop later revisited in How to Grow a Dragon, How to Grow a Mermaid and How to Grow a Reindeer.
Morrisroe’s other picture books include The Drama Llama and The Truth About Yeticorns, both illustrated by Ella Okstad. Penguin lists her as the bestselling author of the How to Grow Magic series, The Drama Llama and The Truth About Yeticorns.
Her middle grade novel Felix and the Future Agency, illustrated by Paddy Donnelly, was published by Simon & Schuster Children’s UK on 22 May 2025.
