Phil Wilson is a children’s book illustrator whose work spans classic character tie-ins and science-themed nonfiction for young readers. His credits include numerous Disney picture-book adaptations and early readers, alongside titles featuring prehistoric life.
Representative books he has illustrated include Disney’s Mickey’s Christmas Carol, Disney’s The Prince and the Pauper, and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast: Teacup Mix-Up. He has also provided artwork for dinosaur titles such as The Day the Dinosaurs Died and Pteranodon: The Life Story of a Pterosaur.
Wilson’s Disney and natural history work has made his illustrations familiar in school and library collections, with a style that moves from character cartoons to detailed, realistic scenes of animals and prehistoric creatures.
He is credited as the illustrator of Disney’s The Prince and the Pauper.
