Monique Turner biography

Monique Turner is a UK author of contemporary young adult fiction whose work explores internet culture, fame and identity. Her debut novel, Island of Influencers, introduces Harper, a teen determined to become famous who is drawn into a reality-show setup where influencers are marooned and judged by a live audience.

Island of Influencers was first published by Chicken House in Great Britain in 2025 and issued in paperback on 13 February 2025. Turner’s follow-up, Sweet & Sour, continues her focus on the pressures of online performance through a story about AI influencer robots and a mukbang channel that spirals out of control, scheduled by Chicken House for 15 January 2026.
