Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Michelle Mackintosh is an author whose published work includes craft, correspondence, gifting and travel books. Her books include Snail Mail: Rediscovering the Art and Craft of Handmade Correspondence, Care Packages: Celebrating the Art and Craft of Thoughtfully Made Packages, Sustainable Gifting: Upcycle, Hand-Make & Get Creative with Zero-Waste Presents & Packages and Mindfulness Travel Japan: Nature, Food, Forest Bathing, Tea Ceremonies, Onsen, Craft & Meditation.
Snail Mail: Rediscovering the Art and Craft of Handmade Correspondence was published in 2015. The book focuses on handwritten correspondence, personalised packages, handmade stationery, letter-writing etiquette, papercraft and templates for creative mail.
Care Packages: Celebrating the Art and Craft of Thoughtfully Made Packages was published in 2016. Michelle Mackintosh has also written about Japan-related travel and culture in Japan: A curated guide to the best areas, food, culture & art, Pretend You’re in Tokyo: 50 Ways to Feel Japanese Wherever You Are and Tokyo Story: A Guide to the City’s Best Cultural Hangouts, Shops, Bars and Eateries, the last of these written with Steve Wide.
