Michelle Cartlidge biography

Michelle Cartlidge is an English writer and illustrator of children’s books. She studied at the Royal College of Art before building a career in children’s publishing. Her work is in the children’s genre, and she has written and illustrated more than 50 children’s books. She has won the Mother Goose Award.

Cartlidge’s books include Baby Mouse and A Mouse’s Diary, both published in 1986. Mouse House followed in 1990, The Cornish Cats Who Went to Sea in 1992, Mouse Letters in 1993 and Mouse’s Scrapbook in 1995. Her picture-book and early-childhood titles also include Fairy Letters, The Bears’ Bazaar: A Story/Craft Book and Good Night, Teddy.

Michelle Cartlidge’s Book of Words is a children’s book written and illustrated by Cartlidge. Mouse Christmas was published in 1996.
