Michaela Morgan is a British author known for her extensive work in children’s literature. She has written over 150 books, including poetry, fiction, and non-fiction, for a range of ages and reading abilities. Her works are published by major publishers such as Oxford University Press, Barrington Stoke, and Frances Lincoln Children’s Books.
Morgan’s titles include Respect: The Walter Tull Story, which tells the story of the first black officer in the British Army and professional footballer Walter Tull. This book was shortlisted for the Blue Peter Book Award. She has also written Chips, Beans and Limousines: The Fantastic Diary of Bathsheba Clarice De Trop, which was shortlisted for the 2008 Roald Dahl Funny Prize. Her poetry collections include Wonderland: Alice in Poetry and Reaching the Stars: Poems about Extraordinary Women and Girls, co-authored with Liz Brownlee and Jan Dean.

In 2018, Walter Tull’s Scrapbook was published by Frances Lincoln Children’s Books, further exploring the life of Walter Tull. Morgan’s writing has been translated into several languages. She continues to publish new titles for young readers.
