Matt Carr biography

Matt Carr is a British author and illustrator known for his work in children’s literature. He has a background in graphic design and has worked on a variety of creative projects. Carr is the creator of several picture books, often featuring animal characters and humorous storylines. His debut picture book, Superbat, was published by Scholastic in 2017. The story follows a bat who wants to be a superhero, blending themes of individuality and self-acceptance.

Following Superbat, Carr has written and illustrated other titles, including Spyder, which centres on a secret agent spider, and Rocketmole, about a mole with dreams of space travel. His books are noted for their bold illustrations and playful approach to storytelling. Carr’s work is published by Scholastic, and his stories are aimed at young children, encouraging imagination and confidence.

In 2017, Superbat was published by Scholastic, marking Carr’s entry into children’s publishing.
