Mark Pett is a writer and illustrator of children’s books. He has worked on his craft in Philadelphia, Prague, the Mississippi Delta and Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has illustrated several books and created the syndicated comic strips Mr Lowe and Lucky Cow.
The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes, written by Mark Pett and Gary Rubinstein and illustrated by Pett, was published by Sourcebooks Jabberwocky in 2011. The picture book is for ages 4 to 8 and introduces growth mindset through Beatrice Bottomwell, a child who has never made a mistake until she makes one in public.
The Boy and the Airplane, written and illustrated by Mark Pett, was published by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers on 2 April 2013. It is a 40-page wordless picture book in which a boy tries to recover a toy airplane from a rooftop, and it received an MSTA Reading Circle List honour.
Lizard from the Park, written and illustrated by Mark Pett, was published by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers on 8 September 2015. The 40-page picture book is for ages 4 to 8 and follows Leonard, who finds an egg in a park and looks after the creature that hatches from it.
