Maria Floyd biography

Maria Floyd is a painter and illustrator who trained at Goldsmiths’ College, University of London. She illustrated The Thoughtful Way, a 30-page children’s book written by Clare Luther and published by MPress Books as the fifth title in the Safari series.

Floyd’s illustration work for Clare Luther’s Safari series includes Happy To Be Me, The Thoughtful Way, Putting Others First, A Helping Hand and Starting Anew. The series is written for children aged three to five and uses an African savanna setting for stories about social and emotional themes.

Floyd also illustrated Little Book of Happy Memories: A collection of happy childhood memories by Andrew Canter and Clare Luther, and A Dog Called Dreckly by Anna C. Wilson. The Thoughtful Way was published on 10 September 2016.
