Maanvi Kapur is a visual artist and illustrator whose professional work spans children’s books, editorial illustration and murals. She studied Visual Communication at the Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology and received formal training in painting and sculpture. She has worked professionally as an illustrator for more than a decade, with clients including New York Magazine, Netflix India and BBC Media.
Kapur illustrated A Card for My Mum, written by poet and children’s author Bashabi Fraser and published by Lantana Publishing in 2025. The picture book follows a young girl searching for a Mother’s Day card featuring a mother who looks like her own. When the cards in the shops fail to reflect her mum and her cultural background, she decides to create one herself.
A Card for My Mum was selected for the Children’s Books Ireland Free to Be Me Reading List in 2025 and the Telling Tales Reading List in 2026. It was also shortlisted for a 2025 Teach Early Years Award and longlisted for The Diverse Book Awards in 2026.
