Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Luke Palmer is a British author and poet. He is known for his young adult novel Grow, published by Firefly Press in 2021. Grow explores themes of radicalisation and grief, and has been recognised for its contribution to contemporary YA literature. The novel was shortlisted for the 2022 Yoto Carnegie Medal and the Branford Boase Award. Palmer has also published poetry, with his collection Otherness released by Cinnamon Press in 2021. In addition to his writing, Palmer has experience as a teacher. His work has appeared in various literary journals and anthologies. In 2022, Grow was longlisted for the UKLA Book Awards.
