Lizzy Stewart is a British author and illustrator known for her work in children’s literature. She studied at Edinburgh College of Art, where she developed her skills in illustration. Stewart has produced both picture books and illustrated fiction, often combining narrative and visual storytelling in her work.
Her debut picture book, There’s a Tiger in the Garden, was published by Frances Lincoln Children’s Books in 2016. The book received recognition for its imaginative approach and distinctive illustration style. Stewart has since written and illustrated several other titles, including Juniper Jupiter and The Way to Treasure Island, both published by Frances Lincoln Children’s Books.
In addition to her picture books, Stewart has illustrated works by other authors and contributed to various projects in the field of children’s publishing. Her illustrations are characterised by their expressive use of colour and attention to detail.
Lizzy Stewart won the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize for Illustrated Books in 2017 for There’s a Tiger in the Garden.
