Lizzie Daly biography

Lizzie Daly is a Welsh wildlife biologist, filmmaker and presenter who writes for young readers about animal behaviour and conservation. She has presented wildlife content for broadcasters and platforms including CBeebies, CBBC, BBC Earth Unplugged, National Geographic and Animal Planet.

Daly studied zoology at the University of Exeter and completed a research master’s at the University of Bristol. She is undertaking a part-time PhD at Swansea University that uses animal-borne tags to investigate movement in changing landscapes, alongside teaching and outreach work at the university.

Her science communication includes expedition reporting and public engagement projects, and she has served as an ambassador for the Jane Goodall Institute UK and the Marine Conservation Society.

Daly is the author of the children’s non-fiction title Life in the Wild: Observing the Mysterious Lives of 10 Real Animals, published by DK Children on 5 September 2024 (ISBN 9780241634110).
