Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Lily Dyu is a British author known for her children’s non-fiction books. She has written titles including Earth Heroes: Twenty Inspiring Stories of People Saving Our World, published by Nosy Crow in 2019. The book profiles environmental activists and changemakers from around the world. Dyu’s work often focuses on real-life stories and environmental themes, aiming to inform and inspire young readers.
Her other publications include Fantastic Female Adventurers: Truly Amazing Tales of Women Exploring the World, published by Zephyr in 2019. This book features the stories of fourteen women who have undertaken remarkable journeys and expeditions. Dyu has also contributed to anthologies and written for educational publishers.
Lily Dyu’s books have been recognised for their educational value and have been shortlisted for awards such as the Blue Peter Book Awards. Earth Heroes was shortlisted for the 2020 Blue Peter Book Award in the Best Book with Facts category.
Her writing is published by Nosy Crow and Zephyr, an imprint of Head of Zeus. Dyu’s books are used in schools and libraries across the UK. Earth Heroes was shortlisted for the 2020 Blue Peter Book Award.
