Kesia Lupo biography

Kesia Lupo is a British author known for her young adult fantasy novels. She studied History at the University of Oxford and later completed an MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University. Lupo’s debut novel, We Are Blood and Thunder, was published by Bloomsbury Children’s Books in 2019. The book is set in a city beset by a mysterious curse and follows two young women with intertwined destinies. Her second novel, We Are Bound by Stars, was released in 2020, also by Bloomsbury. This companion novel explores new characters and settings within the same fantasy world. Lupo has worked as a children’s book editor. Her novels have been noted for their intricate world-building and complex characters. We Are Blood and Thunder was longlisted for the Branford Boase Award in 2020.
