Katie Kear is a British illustrator working in children’s publishing. She graduated from the University of Gloucestershire with a First Class BA (Hons) in Illustration and has since illustrated fiction and non-fiction for major publishers.
Her fiction work includes Cat Weldon’s Norse-themed series beginning with How to Be a Hero and continuing with Land of Lost Things, Jenny Pearson’s festive novel Operation Nativity, Karen McCombie’s novella The Lost Diary of Sami Star, and Lisa Thompson’s middle-grade story The Boy in the Tree.
Beyond novels, Kear has illustrated early readers and activity titles, among them Andrew Levins’s Nelson series entries and the board book My First Day of School: A Story of New Beginnings.
