Kathryn Aalto is an American landscape designer, garden historian, educator and author.
She studied at the University of California, Berkeley, Western Washington University, the London College of Garden Design and the University of Bristol. Public profiles describe her qualifications as including a BA in English, an MA in English, a Diploma in Garden Design and an MA in Garden History.
Aalto wrote The Natural World of Winnie-the-Pooh: A Walk Through the Forest That Inspired the Hundred Acre Wood, published by Timber Press on 23 September 2015 (ISBN 9781604695991). The book entered The New York Times bestseller list in February 2016.
She later wrote Writing Wild: Women Poets, Ramblers, and Mavericks Who Shape How We See the Natural World, published by Timber Press on 23 June 2020 (ISBN 9781604699272).
