Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Karen Wallace is a Canadian-born author who has written numerous books for children and young people. She grew up in Canada and later moved to the United Kingdom, where she began her writing career. Wallace has produced a wide range of fiction and non-fiction titles, including picture books, early readers, and novels for older children.
Her work includes the novel Raspberries on the Yangtze, which was published by Simon & Schuster in 2002. She has also written the Dinosaur Cove series with co-author Steve Barlow, published by Oxford University Press. In addition to fiction, Wallace has written many non-fiction books for children, covering topics such as animals, science, and history.
Karen Wallace’s books have been published by a variety of UK publishers, including Simon & Schuster, Oxford University Press, and Walker Books. Her picture book Think of an Eel, illustrated by Mike Bostock and published by Walker Books, won the Kurt Maschler Award in 1993.
