Justin A. Reynolds is an American author of young adult and middle-grade fiction and graphic novels.
His debut YA novel, Opposite of Always (2019), was an Indies Introduce selection and a School Library Journal Best Book, and has been translated into nineteen languages. Publisher and author sources note that the story has been developed for film with Paramount Players.
Reynolds’s second YA novel, Early Departures (2020) – published in the UK as Forever Ends on Friday – explores friendship, loss and second chances and was named a Kirkus Best YA Book of the Year.
He has also written for younger readers, including the middle-grade graphic novel Miles Morales: Shock Waves (2021), which was an indie bestseller. Later titles include the middle-grade novel Running in Flip-Flops from the End of the World (2024).
Opposite of Always was an Indies Introduce selection and a School Library Journal Best Book of 2019.
