Jordan Collins is a children’s author whose published work includes the picture book Where? (2024), illustrated by Phil Lesnie and released by Candlewick. The narrative addresses identity and belonging through a cosmic and poetic question and answer form.
They previously published the Let’s Get Along series, which includes titles such as Let’s Get Along: It’s Great to Be Kind, Let’s Get Along: It’s Great to Share, Let’s Get Along: It’s Great to Work Together and Let’s Get Along: It’s Great to Keep Calm.
Collins was born in Chicago and moved to Australia at the age of eight. Their heritage includes African-American and Greek roots. As of 2023, they were based in Sydney.
Where? was published in August 2024 by Candlewick, marking their entrance into picture books that engage with complex questions of identity for young readers.
