Jeff Norton is a children’s and young adult author originally from Canada. He is known for writing across a range of genres, including science fiction, fantasy, and adventure. Norton is the creator of the MetaWars series, which is published by Orchard Books. The first book in the series, MetaWars: Fight For The Future, was published in 2012. The series explores themes of virtual reality and digital conflict, set in a near-future world.
In addition to MetaWars, Norton has written the Memoirs of a Neurotic Zombie series, published by Faber & Faber. The first book in this series was released in 2014 and follows the story of a boy who becomes a zombie and navigates life with his new identity. Norton has also authored Dino Knights, a fantasy adventure series published by Awesome Reads, which features young heroes and dinosaurs in a medieval setting.
Before becoming a full-time writer, Norton worked in children’s media and publishing. He has experience as a producer and has been involved in developing content for young audiences. Norton is also the founder of Awesome Reads, an independent publishing company focused on children’s fiction.
His book Stomp School, illustrated by Leo Antolini, was published by Little Tiger Press in 2017.
