J.C. Cervantes writes books for children and young adults.
The Storm Runner was published by Rick Riordan Presents on 18 September 2018 and is a Maya mythology adventure about Zane Obispo. The series continued with The Fire Keeper and The Shadow Crosser, and The Shadow Crosser is identified as book 3 in the Storm Runner trilogy.
Cervantes’s young adult work includes Flirting with Fate, published by Razorbill on 19 April 2022 for readers aged 12 and above. She also contributed to Hope Wins, an anthology of personal essays published on 10 May 2022.
Her adult fiction includes The Enchanted Hacienda and The Anatomy of Magic. The Anatomy of Magic was published by Park Row Books on 11 March 2025.
