Jade Orlando is an American illustrator and author-illustrator of children’s books. She earned a BFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and is represented by The Bright Agency.
Orlando has illustrated picture books and board books for multiple publishers. Her illustration credits include Day Shift, Night Shift by Ariel Vanece and Who Takes Care of You? by Hannah Eliot (both Simon & Schuster). She is one of the illustrators featured in Dapo Adeola’s picture book Hey You! (Puffin).
She illustrated Jamia Wilson’s anthology A Year of Black Joy: 52 Black Voices Share Their Life Passions and is credited as an illustrator on Bedtime Stories: Beautiful Black Tales from the Past, a collection of short stories written and illustrated by multiple Black creators.
As an author-illustrator, Orlando created the board books Hi, Cat. Bye, Cat. (ISBN 9780063310490) and This Dog. That Dog. (ISBN 9780063310506), both published by HarperCollins with an on-sale date of March 18, 2025.
