Intisar Khanani is an author of young adult fantasy novels. She is known for writing stories that often draw on fairy tales and folklore. Khanani’s debut novel, Thorn, was originally self-published and later acquired by HarperTeen, an imprint of HarperCollins. Thorn is a retelling of the classic fairy tale “The Goose Girl.”
Following the publication of Thorn, Khanani wrote the Dauntless Path series, which includes The Theft of Sunlight and A Darkness at the Door. These novels are set in the same world as Thorn and explore themes of justice and resilience. The Theft of Sunlight was published by Hot Key Books in 2021.
