Holly Jackson is a British author known for her work in the young adult fiction genre. She gained prominence with her debut novel, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, published by Electric Monkey in 2019. The book quickly became a bestseller and was shortlisted for the British Book Awards’ Children’s Fiction Book of the Year in 2020.
Jackson studied Literary Linguistics at the University of Nottingham, where she graduated with a first-class degree. Her academic background has influenced her writing style, which often incorporates elements of mystery and suspense.
Following the success of her debut, Jackson released the sequel, Good Girl, Bad Blood, in 2020. This book continued the story of protagonist Pip Fitz-Amobi and was well-received by both critics and readers. In addition to her novels, Jackson has written a prequel novella titled Kill Joy, which was released in 2021. This novella provides further insight into the characters and events leading up to the main series.
