Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Fiona Sampson is a British poet and literary biographer. She is a Senior Research Fellow at Harris Manchester College, University of Oxford, and is Professor Emerita of Poetry at the University of Roehampton.
From 2005 to 2012, Sampson was editor of Poetry Review, the journal of the Poetry Society. Her nonfiction includes the literary biography In Search of Mary Shelley: The Girl Who Wrote Frankenstein (2018).
Sampson was appointed MBE for services to literature in 2017, and she is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
Her poetry collection Come Down won Wales Poetry Book of the Year in 2021.
