Fergus Fleming is a British author and editor known for his works of popular history and exploration. He studied at Oxford University and the City University of London before beginning his career as a writer and editor.
His books include Barrow’s Boys (1998), which recounts British expeditions of the early 19th century, Ninety Degrees North (2001), a history of Arctic exploration, and Killing Dragons: The Conquest of the Alps (2000). Fleming has also written on scientific history and contributed to reference works. His writing is noted for combining detailed research with narrative storytelling.
Barrow’s Boys, his debut history book, was first published in 1998.
