Elena Favilli is an Italian author and journalist known for her work in children’s literature. She is the co-creator of the Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls series, which presents the stories of notable women from history and contemporary life. Favilli has a background in journalism and has contributed to various publications.

Alongside Francesca Cavallo, Favilli co-authored the first volume of Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls, which was published in 2016. The book features one hundred stories about women from diverse backgrounds and fields, each accompanied by an illustration from a female artist. The series has since expanded to include additional volumes and related titles.

Favilli is also the founder of Rebel Girls, a media company focused on empowering young readers through storytelling. Her work has been recognised for its emphasis on representation and the celebration of women’s achievements.

In 2020, Elena Favilli published Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls: 100 Immigrant Women Who Changed the World.
