Dan Westall biography

Dan Westall co-wrote the outdoor and bushcraft guidebook Forest School Adventure: Outdoor Skills and Play for Children with Naomi Walmsley.

Westall and Walmsley run Outback2Basics, a woodland education organisation specialising in bushcraft and “Stone Age skills.” Westall has also served as a bushcraft teacher and survival consultant for television productions.

Their book Forest School Adventure was published in spring 2018 by GMC Publications, spans 176 pages, and targets children aged 5 to 11. It includes sections on nature awareness, bushcraft, wild food and games, with step-by-step photographs and anecdotes from the authors’ wilderness experience.

Westall is credited on Goodreads with four works, including Forest School Adventure, Forest School Handbook, Urban Forest School, and a French edition titled Aventures nature: Mon 1er livre de bushcraft.
