Dai Yun is an author of children’s picture books. She grew up in Nanjing, China, studied and worked in Sydney, Australia, and now resides in Singapore.
She earned her BA from the School of Foreign Languages at Nanjing University and later completed an MA at the University of New South Wales.
Among her notable titles are The Wandering Chicken, Sudan’s Horn, Where Can We Go? and Kiri Tree.
Her works have earned national recognition in China, including selection as Recommended Books by the National Library of China’s Wenjing Book Award and winning first prize in the 7th Feng Zikai Children’s Picture Book Award.
One of her recent books, Where Can We Go?, follows a polar bear family as they search for a new home.
Another publication is Wooshi Witch Grows a Garden, written by Dai Yun and illustrated by Gui Tuzi.
