Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Conor Merriman is an illustrator, art director, and graphic designer who works on children’s publishing as well as commercial illustration and design projects. He runs Studio Merriman.
Merriman earned a BA in Visual Communication from the National College of Art and Design (NCAD). He has lectured and led illustration workshops at the National Gallery of Ireland, Ballyfermot College of Further Education, and NCAD, and was a keynote speaker on anti-bullying for the Law Society of Ireland in 2022.
In children’s publishing, Merriman illustrated Gods Don’t Cry: Unsung Stories of Ireland’s Forgotten Immortals by Ellen Ryan, published by HarperCollins Children’s Books in hardback in October 2023.
