Clare Edge is an author who was raised in the Rocky Mountains. They write middle-grade fantasy, young adult speculative thriller fiction and adult gothic fantasy. Their middle-grade fantasy series Accidental Demons was recognised as a New York Public Library Best Book for Kids and as a Cybils Award finalist.
Accidental Demons, the first book in the Accidental Demons series, was published by Harlequin on 17 September 2024. The book follows Bernadette Crowley, a young witch whose diabetes diagnosis means that checking her blood sugar can accidentally bring demons into the human dimension. Barnes & Noble gives the age range for the hardcover edition as 8 to 12 years.
Mixing Magics is the second book in the Accidental Demons series and was published on 11 November 2025. In this sequel, Bernadette Crowley tries to rescue Grandma Orla from the demon dimension while learning more about the history linking her family and demons.
Natural Selection is Edge’s debut novel for young adults and is published by Delacorte Press. The hardcover edition is scheduled for 25 August 2026, has 352 pages, and is aimed at readers aged 14 and up.
Hamlet & Juliet is an adult gothic fantasy by Edge and is scheduled for 5 January 2027 from Delacorte Press. The novel brings Juliet Capulet and Prince Hamlet into a Shakespeare-inspired romantic fantasy plot involving ghosts, magic and a wider threat to the Globe.
