Cat Rabbit biography

Cat Rabbit is a textile artist and designer who creates plush sculptural works of imagined characters and the worlds they might live in. Her picture-book work uses handmade felted creations and photographic scenes, giving readers three-dimensional characters and settings to discuss in class or at home.

Owl Know How, created by Cat Rabbit and Isobel Knowles, is a 32-page picture book about Cornelia Rabbit, Orvi and their friends solving a problem in Cloud Town. The book’s visual world was made from felt, cardboard and other recycled materials, and the edition includes an owl pattern for readers to make their own owl.

Too Much for Turtle, also by Cat Rabbit and Isobel Knowles, is a 32-page picture book about a shy turtle whose treehouse becomes a refuge for unexpected visitors after a storm.
