Carly Gledhill biography

Carly Gledhill is a children’s book author and illustrator. She previously worked as a print designer for design studios and retailers and later completed an MA in Children’s Book Illustration.

In 2024 and 2026, her work was selected as a winner in the Bologna Children’s Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition.

Gledhill is the author of Bat Can’t Sleep: A Peep-Through Adventure (Macmillan Children’s Books, 30 September 2021; ISBN 9781529060614). She wrote and illustrated Balloon’s Big Adventure (Andersen Press, 3 July 2025; ISBN 9781839135118) and Pencil’s Best Story Ever (Post Wave Children’s Books, 4 September 2025; ISBN 9781836270256).

Her picture book Pass the Parcel was published by Post Wave Children’s Books on 19 February 2026 (ISBN 9781836270416).
