Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Beth Lincoln is a British author known for her work in children’s literature. She is the author of The Swifts, a mystery novel for young readers published by Puffin Books in 2023. The book features the character Shenanigan Swift and centres on a family gathering at Swift House, where a murder mystery unfolds. The Swifts has been recognised for its engaging narrative and was selected as Waterstones Children’s Book of the Month in February 2023. Lincoln studied creative writing at Newcastle University. Her debut novel, The Swifts, has been published in multiple territories and translated into several languages. In 2023, The Swifts was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize. Lincoln’s work is published by Puffin, an imprint of Penguin Random House Children’s UK.
