Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Benoit Tardif is a Canadian illustrator and author known for his work in children’s literature. He has illustrated several books, including Sports et loisirs (2014), which was published by La Pastèque. Tardif’s illustrations are recognised for their bold, graphic style and use of vibrant colours.
He illustrated Le facteur de l’espace (2016), written by Guillaume Perreault and published by La Pastèque. Tardif has also contributed illustrations to magazines and newspapers, including The New York Times and Le Devoir.
His book En voiture! (2018), published by La Pastèque, explores different modes of transportation through illustrations. Tardif’s work has been exhibited in galleries in Canada and internationally.
In 2015, Sports et loisirs was nominated for the Prix jeunesse des libraires du Québec. Tardif continues to produce illustrated books and collaborate with various publishers and authors.
