Axie Oh is a Korean American author known for her contributions to young adult literature. She graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a degree in Korean history and creative writing. She furthered her education by obtaining an MFA in Writing for Young People from Lesley University.
Oh’s debut novel, Rebel Seoul, was published in 2017 by Tu Books. The book is set in a futuristic Korea and explores themes of identity and belonging. It was well-received and marked her entry into the young adult science fiction genre.
In 2021, Oh released XOXO, a contemporary romance novel published by HarperTeen. The story follows a Korean American teenager who becomes involved with a K-pop star. XOXO was praised for its engaging narrative and cultural insights.
Her novel The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea was published in 2022 by Feiwel & Friends. This work is a reimagining of a classic Korean folktale and has been noted for its rich storytelling and cultural depth.
