Apostolos Doxiadis is a Greek author known for his work in literature and theatre. He was born in Brisbane, Australia, and raised in Greece. Doxiadis pursued higher education in the United States, where he studied mathematics at Columbia University, graduating at the age of 19. He later attended the École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris.

Doxiadis is renowned for his novel Uncle Petros and Goldbach’s Conjecture, published in 1992. The book gained international acclaim and was translated into numerous languages. It explores the world of mathematics through the story of a reclusive mathematician obsessed with proving one of the most famous unsolved problems in mathematics.

In addition to his work in novels, Doxiadis has contributed to the field of graphic novels. He co-authored Logicomix: An Epic Search for Truth with Christos H. Papadimitriou, which was published in 2008. The graphic novel delves into the history of logic and the lives of prominent logicians, blending historical narrative with philosophical inquiry. Logicomix received critical acclaim and was a bestseller in several countries.
